March 15, 2027 @ 19:30 – 21:00
‘A Lancashire Garland ‘ Sid Calderbank has been collecting and preserving the Lancashire heritage for over 40 years. Through an easy going and confident delivery, he sings songs and reads poems of the time to effortlessly transport his audience back to an earlier time. In a thoroughly entertaining way he will explain the story of the cotton industry in Lancashire and how it survived the disruption during the American Civil War, and went on to become again the cotton capital of the world.
